Ten thousand lucky music fans in New Zealand were delighted to be able to kick off their 2020-21 summer festival season with the Downtown Shakedown event in Wellington where a lively and diverse line-up included dub-tastic Fat Freddy’s Drop and rising star singer-songwriter BENEE who joined popular favourites L.A.B., Ladi6, Sola Rosa and Sunshine Sound System to welcome everyone to Waitangi Park.

AIG 100 Event Dazzles with Robe

A special Afrikaans is 100 Jaar Groot (Afrikaans celebrates 100 Years) centenary concert was staged at the DHL Stadium in Green Point, Cape Town, South Africa, a magical location with breathtaking views of Table Mountain in the background. Produced by Coleske Artists and featuring over 30 special collaborations by leading Afrikaans artists, it marked 100 years of the Afrikaans language being officially recognised, highlighting its diversity, rich linguistic heritage and multicultural origins in the Cape. The event sold out in a single morning.

Anirudh In The RoboSpot Light in Chennai

Indian superstar Anirudh recently played an incendiary homecoming show as the grand finale to his “Hukum” world tour, staged at a special site in Kuvathur on the East Coast Road (ECR) in Chennai, India, complete with a spectacular lighting design by Bala Subramanya (Vinod), Albin Biju and Guru Somayaji from Bangalore-based design studio, 369 Design Lab.
