Contemporary multipurpose venue Gray in Modiin, Israel, is filled with colour and atmosphere thanks to a versatile Robe LED moving light rig installed to enhance this new and lively 900-capacity entertainment space that opened in 2021. Managed and run by the municipality, it is popular and successful in offering a wide range of live music and performance shows in a supper club format.
Crowded House are among Australia and New Zealand’s most iconic, popular, and successful bands, with a string of melodic hits like “Better Be Home Soon”, “Don’t Dream It’s Over”, “Something So Strong” and others, some stretching back to the 1980’s, all still infectiously foot tapping in 2022 when they hit the road again after re-forming in late 2019.
Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu, Estonia – the country’s oldest and first Estonian language theatre – celebrated the momentous opening of its 152nd season with an elaborate gala event staged in the city’s main square, with a lighting design created by Tõnis Järs featuring Robe moving lights.
Idols South Africa 2021 underwent its most substantial visual transformation for a few years with a shift of venue, from the State Theatre in Pretoria to Studio 10 at the Urban Brew complex in Johannesburg. This moment was seized by the show’s long term lighting designer Joshua Cutts of Visual Frontier, for a radical re-think, and for the first time in 17 Idols seasons, he presented a lighting co-design created collaboratively with Andre Siebrits, also from Visual Frontier.
